CartegenA, COLOMBIA
People often ask, “whats the most beautiful city you’ve been too?”
Easy answer- Cartegena.
There’s something special about this city…
The Old City of Cartagena dates back to the 1500’s.
Enclosed within the old city walls are cobblestone streets, cathedrals, boutique shops and cafes.
Taxis are replaced by horse drawn carriages.
Buildings are covered in vines and flowers.
Street vendors sell fresh fruit, breads, and pastries.
Boutique hotels are hidden behind giant wooden doors that tower two stories high.
Tiny cafes tucked away in the corners of the city…
…selling rum ice cream and espresso.
Tress sparkled when the sun set.
Music gave vibrance to the night and elicited dancing in the streets
We found a hostel to stay, behind a clothes shop
Nights were spent on the patio, drinking wine and catching wifi before heading out.
Night markets buzzed as we ate street food on the sidewalk and listened to musicians playing in the plaza.
…there’s something about the city of Cartegena.
